Julie is a native of Arizona and currently resides in Gilbert, AZ. She got her undergrad from ASU in Family and Human Development and her master’s degree from NAU in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in the Arizona Early Intervention Program for over 15 years as a developmental specialist, working with infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, with disabilities and delays. In 2014 she heard about this foreign concept called laughter yoga and was very intrigued. She learned more and had her first training to become a laughter yoga leader in 2015. She has since traveled throughout the US to continue her training. She has had the opportunity to be trained by the founder of laughter yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria. She has taught laughter yoga to a variety of audiences and done presentations on finding happiness and laughter in life and in the workplace. In her free time you can find her working with the youth in her community, spending time traveling and hanging out with her nieces and nephews.
