Dr. Karen Hans

An Illinois native, Dr. Karen Hans currently resides in Central Florida with her husband and two children. Experiencing parenting of exceptional needs children both personally and professionally has given her the ability to understand the importance of parents and professionals working together to offer the best outcomes in their areas of need.

With over 16 years of experience as a behavior analyst, Dr. Karen E. Hans received her undergraduate degree in exceptional student education from the University of Central Florida and her master’s degree in applied behavior analysis from the Ohio State University. At the Ohio State University, Dr. Hans was supervised and instructed by Dr. Heron and Dr. Heward, authors of Applied Behavior Analysis. Upon completion of her master’s degree, Dr. Hans went on to receive her Ph.D. in intellectual and developmental disabilities from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.

In her professional experience, Dr. Hans has worked throughout the United States and England and has worked with a variety of populations including toddlers through geriatrics. Dr. Hans’ passion lies in early intervention and assisting early learners gain their foundational skills. In addition to being the owner and Founder of ABA Every Day, Dr. Karen Hans is also the Executive Director for Clinical Services for Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children and Rise Early Intervention Florida, where she assists families in providing a multi-disciplinary plan of care, educational advocacy, and help to access individualized, various resources.
