August 12, 2021    1:45 PM  -  3:15 PM
Virtual

Throughout their lives, our clients are constantly being told to “Stop It!”

It is clearly not good enough.  It is certainly not working.  There is definitely a better way.  ….so Stop It!

In this workshop, attendees will learn how to properly teach, reinforce, and practice Replacement Behaviors!  Learners will be better prepared to intervene with problem behaviors by:

  • Properly identifying target behaviors, their function, and appropriate replacements
  • Train replacement behaviors that fit the 3 “E’s”- being Effective, Efficient, and Equivalent
  • Use differential reinforcement to increase the frequency of the new replacement behavior
  • Train the replacement behavior to last!  Planning for maintenance and generality.
