Leading Better Lives with Person Centered Thinking Tools

Person Centered Thinking (PCT) tools are just that – tools that help us approach human service work in a person-centered way. In this short training, participants will learn some person-centered thinking skills they can immediately use to help people who receive supports lead better lives. Person Centered Thinking is essential for ensuring all people, regardless of disability, have positive control over their lives.

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will learn how to organize information by sorting what is important TO a person and what is important FOR a person

2. Attendees will learn how to use PCT skills to collect information, evaluate situations, and operationalize information

3. Attendees will be able to identify where in their life or work they can use PCT tools today

4. Attendees will be able to identify where they can go to access and explore more PCT resources that they can share with their colleagues and clients
