Ticket to Work: Beneficiaries who want to work, Lets Chat!
Ticket to Work is a program that aims to help people with disabilities who receive benefits like SSDI or SSI find employment by connecting them with services and support to enter or re-enter the workforce, while still allowing them to maintain their benefits during the process. Our Employment Network (EN) is a Non-Profit Center for Independent Living (CIL) that contracts with Social Security to provide free employment support services to Social Security disability beneficiaries ages 18 through 64. EN services may include: Career Counseling, Job Search Support, Long Term Employment Support, Work Incentive Advisement, Financial Services and Supports.
Goal: To promote self-sufficiency, dignity of risk and personal choice. To increase income for those on disability benefits by helping individuals with disabilities find jobs.
Eligibility: People between 18 – 64, receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are eligible to participate.
How it works: Individuals can choose an Employment Network (EN) to assist them with job search, training, benefits counseling,
and other support needed to find and maintain employment.
Benefit protection: Participants can often continue receiving their disability benefits while transitioning into work, with protections in place to allow them to return to benefits if necessary.
