Patricia Hampshire

Ph.D.

Dr. Hampshire received her P.hD. in Special Education at Indiana University in 2011. Prior to this, she worked as a special education teacher, autism consultant, behavioral parent coach in the clinical setting, and educational specialist conducting assessments on a multidisciplinary diagnostic team.

Dr. Hampshire was trained in the clinical setting as a behavior analyst under the supervision of a Ph.D. level behavioral psychologist. There she conducted diagnostic assessments, functional behavior assessments, and designed behavior intervention plans. She also provided educational recommendations for schools and parents.

In her doctoral program, Dr. Hampshire was trained as a researcher and professor and her work focuses on designing interventions for individuals with autism utilizing a parenting coaching model. Dr. Hampshire’s area of expertise includes Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, severe behavior, strategies for teaching independence, and parent coaching.
