Natalie James

MS, NCC, LPC

Natalie James is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in children and adolescents with a private practice in Bend, Oregon. Over the years, her expertise in anxious disorders evolved into large scale trainings for parents, educators, and staff working with youth. An educator with over 15 years of teaching experience, Natalie brings real life stories from the classroom and pediatric medical settings to highlight practical responses to even the most challenging behaviors. Her audiences across the country have included teachers, administrators, medical/mental health specialist, as well as juvenile justice staff and adult correction officers. Natalie teaches Infant, Child, and Adolescent Development courses for Oregon State University and believes using humor in instruction is a powerful tool for keeping audiences engaged, reflective, and open to learning. She is an author of two therapeutic children’s books and an accompanying board game for clinical use. When not in the office or teaching, Natalie enjoys snowboarding and other outdoor pursuits with her three young sons.
