Marisol Solarte-Erlacher

M.A. LPC

Marisol Solarte-Erlacher, M.A., LPC is a speaker, trauma expert, and resilience consultant specializing in post-traumatic growth and resilience. She is also the creator and host of the podcast Resilience and Resistance, which features successful Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color who have overcome trauma and become resilient. As the primary therapist of her own practice, Marisol works with high-functioning adults who have experienced developmental trauma. Using the same evidenced based platforms understood through psycho and neurobiological research, Marisol facilitates programming that strengthens employee resilience and enhances team performance. She works with nonprofit organizations, mid-sized corporations and public service entities. Past clients include Hunger Free Colorado, Girls, Inc, Colorado Organization of Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR), College Invest and the City and County of Denver.

Marisol is dedicated to providing bilingual and culturally-competent services to the Latinx community. Her research explores ethnic and ego identity among Latinx adolescents, and she has presented to the National Latino Psychological Association, the Midwest Association of Latino Psychologists, La Raza: Youth Leadership Conference, and Arte Sana Latina Advocate Training Institute. With a strong background in the non-profit world, Marisol worked as the Program Director at Sisters of Color United for Education and as a bilingual/bicultural therapist at the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program.

A leader in her field, Marisol was a clinical supervisor for Master of Counseling students at the University of Colorado at Denver, and she continues to coach therapists whose work focuses on trauma and EMDR therapies. For the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment, she has developed reports and curriculum in addition to serving on Leadership Teams regarding youth violence prevention, women’s wellness, and sexual assault prevention. Marisol currently sits on the EMDRIA International Board of Directors and is a member of the Denver Women’s Commission through the City of Denver Mayor’s Office.
