The Meaning, Importance, Methodologies and Application of Trauma Informed Care (All Day Workshop)

This presentation will explore: the history, definition and core principles of Trauma Informed Care (TIC); why it is a valued and positive clinical approach; a review of current models; strategies to integrate TIC into support plans; examples of how Direct Support Professionals can apply TIC in their day to day work; Collaborative Problem Solving; and specific (anonymous) case studies demonstrating the value of this approach.


This session has been approved for 1.25 hours at the LSW, LMSW & LCSW levels by the National Association of Social Workers- Idaho Chapter and may be applied toward continuing education requirements for social work license renewal.
