Supporting Parents with Learning Difficulties
More and more people with developmental disabilities are choosing to parent. These families have unique support needs that, if met, gives each family a fair chance to succeed. You can make a difference by learning about the many resources and options for supporting these families through TASP The Association for Successful Parenting. Evidence-based practices such as competency-based parenting assessments, organizational self-assessments, parent identification, and peer navigator support will all be discussed. Many resources, links, curricula, and practical strategies will be shared.
