First Responder Training

This course is focused on providing information to individuals, their families, and community organization personnel that care for people with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities.The presenter will talk about strategies to use when they, their loved one or a client is in an emergency situation and have to come into contact with Law Enforcement or other emergency personnel.  How to help First Responders better respond, vital information to provide, and your role in escalated situations will be covered.  The attendees will walk away with tips and tools to utilize for future First Responder encounters and ensuring a successful response.
