Behavioral Momentum: From Resistance to Reinforcement
Let’s use reinforcement to create momentum, change behaviors, and make our sessions more effective! Behavioral Momentum is the evidence-based strategy of getting to “YES!” earlier and more often. While this session is geared toward children’s behavior intervention, this strategy has applications in all facets of your life. We’ll start fun and easy, and build from there!
Learning Objectives:
Learners will be able to
1. Define Behavioral Momentum
2. Use Behavioral Momentum in prompting and task demands
3. Adapt reinforcement strategies to include Behavioral Momentum
4. Identify when to use Behavioral Momentum in Behavioral Interventions
This session qualifies for 1.5 BACB CE’s and 1.5 NASW CEU’s at LSW, LMSW & LCSW level (pending NASW approval)
