The decade of the brain has brought much transformation to helping professions. The Neuroscience of trauma and attachment has specific implications for how we serve kids and their families. This presentation dives deep into the science of attachment and creates a guide for the trauma informed professional. Specific topics include the three factors of security in kids, misdiagnosis of trauma and attachment disorders, and cultural barriers to fair implementation of the science.
